I’m only taking one class this quarter (it would have been two, but dropping the other class was a sacrifice I made to help pay for my computer). And it’s an independent study class, so I only meet with my professor once or twice a week, so I don’t to be in a “real” class with other students and all that. I feel with my last quarter as an undergrad I’m going to go out with a quiet whisper instead of a bang. Not how I was expecting to end college.
And while living off-campus is very nice, it still detaches you from the going ons of SCAD. Granted, there is no central campus here, and most of the students live off-campus, but still, there was something nice about living on-campus and being more in the know. On-campus living had it’s charms.
I feel a little bit like an outsider looking in. I’m not a SCAD student but instead just some guy who lives in Savannah and does comics.
It’s just been a weird start to the quarter. For me it doesn’t even feel like school started up again. Lord only knows what I’m going to feel like when the winter quarter starts up and I don’t have any classes to go to whatsoever. Well, unless I chicken out and go to grad school. We’ll see about THAT.

I want to thank everyone who made more donations today and helped spread the word, thank you thank you THANK YOU! I’m working on the drawings. Got one completely done (for Amy, the first one to make a donation) and four penciled ready to be inked and many more on the way! You guys are going to be keeping me very busy, but I’m more than ok with that. Just keep in mind I probably won’t send them out until AFTER SPX, which is the first weekend of October. (Or if you’ll be at SPX, you’ll get your drawings there.)
I’ll make a blog entry about the status of the computer and all that drama later today in the main blog, but right now I’m going to bed. I just made a run of 50+ silkscreen covers for minicomics and I am pooped.

Its like everytime I go downtown I go “Oh yeah, I still live in Savannah”. Living at SCAD and living in Savannah is just so completely different.

how you you think i feel these days, i am not a student at all now, and half of the time i’m standing right next to these kids walking to and from boundary hall, and i’m in a hard hat and covered in dirt, looking like i did when i was working construction after high school.
i stand there getting ignored, feeling underpaid, and like i never did a worthwhile thing in my life.
oh hey pranas, i’ve been e-stalking you, how are you man?

I’ve gone through this feeling before, too. It’s like you feel like you are trespassing and about to be arrested. What? No? Well, that’s how it went for me!

Yeah, I lived off campus for two years. It sucks to find out “They had that band play here and I didn’t know about it!?” and I really did miss the social interaction that was at O-House.
I tried to spend as much time as possible at Norris. I found a group of students that had a work session all day on Fridays at Norris and I stayed with them. Maybe you can organize a work group or find something similar to that that is within the campus?
