inkdick: september 17 2008 - declined
Yeah, screw Apple. I’ve been a loyal fan and patron of Apple for close to four years now and have defended them at every turn, so I am surprised that I am getting screwed by them. They are currently giving me the runaround. I have called the Apple store in Jacksonville three times and each time I get a different answer. This is bullshit. Complete bullshit.
My card basically has a credit limit of almost zero now, thanks to Apple’s double billing. I NEED my card freed up so I can pay my fucking bills. You know, electricity, gas, internet (the water is in Andy’s name and is not paid using a card). If this doesn’t get resolved I don’t know what the hell I am going to do.
I was HUMILIATED to be declined from using my card in front of my friend (Josh, he works at Michael’s). I know I’m not doing so hot financially right now and I don’t hide that fact, but there is still a matter of pride and you feel so ashamed when it comes across like you are totally broke.
I am currently drafting a VERY angry letter to Apple to let them know just how shitty their customer service is and thank them for pouring salt into my wound.
If it wasn’t for the fact that Macs more suit my computer needs and that Vista is a steaming pile of dog turd, I would make my next computer a PC. But for now Apple has me by the balls and that sucks.
Screw you, Apple. Stop making awsome computers so I can hate you 100%.

Man, don’t sweat it. Those shirts from Micheal’s fall apart fast anyways

That sucks, go to the website, ‘the comsumerist’ and check out what others have done when dealing with Apple. It might help, and no I don’t work for them.
Good luck!

Here’s a few links that might be of some help:
How To Launch An Executive Email Carpet Bomb - http://consumerist.com/consumer/how-to/how-to-launch-an-executive-email-carpet-bomb-259713.php
sjobs@apple.com - people have had luck in getting situations resolved by emailing this email address. Follow the instructions in the 1st link and you should get decent/good results (I did w/ comcast a week and a half ago when my cable got hooked up - I now have the digital package for $66/month (instead of 90/month))

Yeah, that’s the one thing I had about about, they fucking crow about their ease and how intuitive there shit is, but one billing fuck up on itunes, and you have to email about a thousand people to get 5 bucks back.
I can only imagine how terrible it is to deal with thousands of dollars :(

ya know… you don’t really need an apple. 20 years ago it was true that apples were better for sound and graphic stuff, but that’s no longer the case. you can get a pc that’s twice as powerful for half the price. but yeah, stick to xp…

take care of double billing error through your Credit Card: tell them to stop payment and let the Credit Card company do some work for you!

thanks for all the advice and links, guys. The situation is all taken care of now, but Apple is still going to get a very angry letter from me.
aaron, in reality, there is no way I can go back to PCs. I’ve had too many blue screen of deaths and other bad experiences with PCs in the past. As sucky as Apple customer service may be, their computers don’t crash easily.

that’s funny, because i’ve had the opposite experience. i grew up using apples and mostly used them in college, and i’ll never go back.

I rarely have my PC crash. Ever. Apples crash or freeze all the time for me.
Xp is a solid OS, especially with all the new updates. Forget Vista. Forget Macs~
