inkdick: october 28 2008 - hot diggity dog
So the plan was that I, Andy, and Amy were going to be Flapjack, Capt. K’nuckles, and Bubbie respectively. It was going to be beyond epic. But Halloween snuck up on all of us this year, so we had to settle for store bought costumes, which takes a little of the fun out of it, but whatever.
So anyways, I spent 34 bucks today on a giant hot dog costume. What did YOU spend money on today?

That’s pretty heartbreaking about not being able to do the Flapjack costumes. My girlfriend and I have had our Daria and Jane (me Daria, her Jane) costumes ready since August.

34 bucks for a hotdog costume sounds like a deal. No halloween frenzy here in Japan. I never got into it anywhere in the world. I’d perhaps go back to the old halloween celebrating some agricultural rebirth if I lived in an agricultural town or something.
Money wise these days, I’ve used it to buy grocery. Water, tuna, lettuce, chocolate flakes, chicken breasts, pork slices, and nothing special.

34 dollars could buy a lot of eatable hot dogs; but, does anyone really know what is in a hot dog? The real reason is to have fun and scare all those evil souls away who want to do harm to us mortals (check the original reason for Hallows Eve). But, what you are making are memories to last a life time. In college I went has a giant pumpkin and my date as the pumpkin eater. OK, so it was many years ago in a different time. Remember, to have good fun and make those memories. Tell me, will you be dressed as a Chicago-style hot dog, you know the “works”?

man, flapjack costumes woulda been awesome! maybe flapjack will still be awesome next year and you could try again. i never bought what i needed for my costume, but we’re having a party here and nobody is dressing up anyway, so maybe next year.

I was gonna be captain K’nuckles last Halloween, too, but trying to track down all the stuff for a K’nuckles costume ended up being too difficult for my lazy self.
