McCain or Obama, the withdrawal was apparently possible within 1 or 2 years, maybe 3, and in both cases it depends on the situation. Whatever the case, there will likely be American bases in Iraq. And in exchange, more American troops will be sent to Afghanistan. I do look forward to Obama’s administration. I hope he’ll be more than a neo-Clintonian.
