inkdick: november 09 2008 - one year ago today…
Time to get a little mushy, so bear with me… (or is it ‘bare with me?’ Oh well.)
One year ago today Amy and I started going out. The few days before that we started awkwardly holding hands, I’d put my arm around her when we’d sit next to each other, etc. Then we went to see The Darjeeling Limited with some friends and we held hands the whole time. At this time we weren’t going out yet. Not officially.
After the movie we get back to my room and watched some Simpsons and Frasier, cuddling all the while. It was sometime during Frasier that I looked at her and asked “So…are we going out now?” and she responded “I think so.” And we soon started awkwardly making out. And that was that.
It’s been a full year with her and I’m still in love with her and no where close to being tired of this. I got lucky in that I fell in love with my best friend and she fell in love with me. There is something about us, we just work. Yes, we have our differences and our little fights now and again and our pet peeves about each other, but over all we fit perfectly. We make each other laugh. We support each other. We help drive each other creatively. She inspires me to try and be a better person. And without getting into to much detail, all the physical stuff is GREAT. I know you didn’t want that image in your head, and I’m sorry. But deal with it.
It’s been a great year. For me personally there have been many downs this year, but she was not one of them. I love her. I’m glad she’s in my life and I’m in hers. I don’t know what the future holds for us or how long we’ll be together, but I’m going to ride this thing for as long as it lasts. And hopefully that’s a long, long time.

It’s “bear with me” unless you want to take off all your clothes and show your genitals to the world. Cause then it’d be “bare”. But uh, very nice. To say those magical words…love is all you need.

Ah yes te life of the dating! It would have been more interesting if a robot tiger came flew from the sky and torced the planet and the two characters became the king and queen of “Fire Earth”!!!!!!!! The use of extreme imagery and expotentionlismastism was quite delightful but, again, I would have enjoyed some dragons…….some talking dragons…….and a peanut. The world of comics is a slippery slope my friend and if we are to survive then we must retell life as if life were nothing short of a cell away from a chromosone. The planets will align and the peace shall find it’s maker, but the comic strip needed more roses at the end, and they needed to preform magic! …………… KARATE CHOP!
