inkdick: november 21 2008 my 23rd birthday
So I’m now 23. Last year I came to the decision that from here on out, the only birthdays that will really matter are the ones that end in zeroes and fives. Every birthday up to your 21st is really special because you are young. And you have the milestones of 16, 18, and 21. But after 21 it’s not that big of a deal anymore. You just age, and there are no real milestones anymore. I mean, it’s not like you can’t by SUPER PORN until you are 31 or anything.
My birthday this year is special for me though because I’m still here, I’m still alive. I could have only existed on this planet for 22 years if what happened last week went differently. So I’m just glad to be alive and see another year added to existence.
Thanks to everyone on Facebook who wished me a happy birthday and thanks to all who came out and celebrated with me today.
Thank you to Amy for making my birthday so AWESOME! She got me a Kidbot Yo Gabba Gabba! Muno Vinyl figure mint in it’s box! And she treated me to bowling and lunch and ice cream and made me a very yummy cake! She is awesome! I hope I can make her birthday just as awesome eight days from now.
Oh, and look what Chris Schweizer drew for me for my b-day! That is just fucking awesome! Be sure to check out his site and read his latest graphic novel Crogan’s Vengeance (it’s good, trust me).

Happy Birthday, Pranas! You are a young man with talent galore. So, you are growing older (thank God), but what I envy about you is that you can keep young through your drawings. Thank you for bringing back “Inkdick”.

Just been going through the archives and enjoying every strip of it. It’s odd how I want to comment on some of them, but then realize they’re all in the past.
But this one I had to say something about. All through these, I’ve been thinking, “wow, this guy is doing what I want to do when /I/ grow up! I want to go to art college and make cool indie comics!” And now.. now…
…you’re a year younger than me. A year minus two days. What the hell.
