inkdick: november 22 2008 construction next door
I understand, you gotta work, you gotta make a living. And sometimes that means hammering away at nails. Ok, cool. But do you have to start your hammering and drilling and all that at 8:20 IN THE FUCKING MORNING? If it started at 9, ok, I can understand that, even though it’s a weekend and not a weekday. That’s when the workday begins. Anything before 9 in the morning that is loud like this is just unacceptable. It also didn’t help that it was work being done on the one story house right next to our 2nd floor window. They were literally hammering right outside of our window.

Ah yes, I’m all too familiar with the early morning construction symphony (as I call it). I’m also very familiar with making phone calls to complain about it.

when i lived in santa cruz we would get the early morning leaf blowers and lawn mowers…just as bad as the construction workers…

there’s construction going on at the house across the street AND next to Danger Mansion…
except my workers get all excited and sing in spanish in the morning. It’s very bizarre when I’m just waking up from a dream and I don’t know what’s going on.

This is why I rake my leaves. It is environment friendly in many ways.

I was awoken today at 9am by the old ladies next door speaking at an incredible volume.
They yell across the street to talk to eachother, I swear to christ.
