The handwritten letter came in a neon red envelope with a neon red card inside. I won’t type out exactly what the letter said, but it was a seamless combination of those Nigerian spam e-mails from a prince saying you won an international lottery and erotic fiction.

And no return address or any clue as to who wrote this letter.

So I’m hoping it was a friend being a joker. If not, I could be in trouble…but I’m putting my money on a friend doing this.

I’m flattered that someone thought I was worth 42 cents and the effort.
