inkdick: february 18 2009 i’m so fucking indie rock right now…
I don’t even know what I MEAN when I say I feel ‘indie rock’, but yet I feel that way sometimes. Today was one of those days.
If you haven’t already, go out and get Scott Pilgrim Volume 5 like, RIGHT NOW. It’s the best one in the series so far, and that’s saying a lot since the series is so damn good. Reading this reminded me of why I want to make comics. It was just so satisfying. And the cover of the first printing of the book IS shiny. Like, literally. And it actually fits in to the story.
Brett got me the hook-up at Barnes and Noble with his sweet employee discount and all. Go read Brett’s journal comic The Daily Odyssey. He’s not getting as many readers as he should which is utter bullshit, because his comic is quite good. Sometimes he even draws us going to eat at McDonald’s together.

I broke my leg and whilst extremely bored at home I have discovered webcomics and yours has to be one of my favourites, I have read around one hundred strips a day for the last 3 days to catch up and damn was it good. I look forward to many more.

You’re correct; the Daily Odyssey is great. I am now labeling it as one of my favorites. Question: how did the McDonald’s Apple pie get into your pocket?

I’m gonna go ahead and brag that I was @ Jim Janley’s Universe here in NYC for the MIDNIGHT DEBUT of SPv5 on March 3rd, got to meet Mr. O’Malley. Sweet guy.
I feel like this 5th volume is the Empire Strikes Back of Scott Pilgrim… everything bad happens and left me so hanging for the next volume. Anybody else have the same feeling?
Also pumped that the movie starts shooting in like a week… LIFE = GOOD
