I’m a pretty messy person, so when an urge to clean hits me it is a pretty big deal. And very rare. But halfway though cleaning the toilet I questioned it, as Amy and I are moving out of here in a month or so. I kept cleaning for another ten minutes or so before I gave up on the whole thing.

I guess the mood hits everyone to some degree this time of year.

Why give up . . . when you move you are going to clean up the place anyway. But cleaning for 10 minutes is better than 0 minutes.

you know you will lose part of your deposit if the place is dirty. also be there for your walk through if i wasnt there they were going to chrage me for stained carpet when it was the lighting in the room that made it looked stained.

I’m pretty messy but I clean up the toilet to the extent that it is not noticeably dirty with or without the lid… Clearing up the dust, hairs, and the invisible ticks is also nice for the respiration and in preventing allergy reactions for those concerned… I guess you don’t have that problem perhaps.
I live in a small apartment and clearning up only takes 5 to 10 minutes, especially if I do it every now and then. What takes far more longer is rearranging my stuff, picking what to throw away, stacking them by category, and getting them out of the way…
I am minimalistic in possession… I guess I’ll end up throwing away or giving away everything except the bed on which I may pass away and the roof and walls to keep me warm. But the world may also be mine in one special way… or maybe not. Hm…

The “old” place is NEVER as clean during the tenancy, as on the day u turn the keys back to the landlord….

Sometimes I wish EACH day would have been like the last day… :P

I find cleaning really therapeutic. I just did a big mess of dishes then cleaned the bathroom. For some reason, I get a lot more work done if the house is clean.
