inkdick: march 27 2009 looks like rain

The title of this comic has nothing to do with THIS awesome journal comic (which is very awesome, you need to be reading it).

The rain clouds hung over this town and looked like they’d give way any second, but they held out until I got to work and kept holding out until I got BACK from work too! And then they let loose while I was safe and dry in the comfort of my own home. Sometimes I think the world is against me. Today it seemed to be working FOR me for a change.

A nice change of pace.

That’s so bizarre that you mentioned Looks Like Rain because just yesterday I linked to both yours and his journal comics in my latest update. Life is weird.

    Congrats on staying dry.

It totally rained here today. Boo. I’m hoping it doesn’t rain while I’m on vacation in San Diego, though the forecast currently says it will.

. . . me, too. Even the small wins seem momumental to me. I plan to beat this BC within me. Thanks to the Department Army medical team and Walter Reed Army Medical Center Comprehensive Breat Clinic, I will survive. I plan to take no prisoners from this battle . . . life goes on. Want to some day do “Walk for the Cure” with me? Love to have my sons with me and their significant others.

Similar event happened to me too. 1st of every month, my local movie theatre charges 1000 yen per show all day long instead of the usual 1200~1400. I had to take advantage of that day to see Watchmen.

I was going to train at my gym, then head to the theatre. The two are just a third of a mile apart, maybe 10 minutes by bike. 20 minutes before the time I intended to leave the gym, boom, the clouds started hailing massively. 10 or so minutes after, the hail stopped, and I just managed to bike my way to the theatre on time.

And I loved Watchmen. Superb, except for most of the lyrical music choice. I did think back to Pranas’ objection, and kept in mind the question of whether the movie was too much the same as the comic, or not. I will have to read the book to judge.

Hey Pranas, we met at fluke and I just wanted to say thanks for representing the Savannah comics scene so well. I was thinking pretty hard about leaving savannah and going to new york for school but part of the reason I’m staying is because there are talented people like you who do solid work that i can be proud to say are my peers. Cheers man.
