inkdick: april 07 2009 remember me
I am behind on these journal comics, I will not lie. What I try to do when I am getting behind is writer a note in my sketchbook about what happened in the day so I can draw it when I catch up to that day. Well, sometimes I forget to do that and I have the hardest time trying to remember what happened in a day. If I didn’t keep this journal, I don’t know how I’d remember anything about my life. I think if I ever stopped this journal, no one would remember me. Not even myself.
If I ever stopped this journal, I just might disappear…

oddly enough, when I went behind on my journal comic because of my moving. I found reading over my tweets was helpful in keeping tabs on what to draw about

Yeah, Twitter has been great for giving me clues as to what I’ve been up to on days I forget to take notes, so thank god for that. Still, it’s a pain for me when I don’t have written out notes in the sketchbook itself.

I do this all the time. I always assume I’ll remember stuff and of course I don’t. Hey what are you using to ink your comics? The pens I’ve been using for 3 or 4 years now have been discontinued and I’m on a quest.

I use Faber-Castell PITT artist pens (they come in a four pack with S, F, M, and B sizes). Ideally I’d do every strip with either a nib or brush but sadly a) nibs tear right through the type of sketchbook paper I do my journals in and b) I’m not yet good with brush inking.
