Basically, when they see that you have a job it proves that you can do a job. It makes all the difference. If you have a gap on your resume leading up to the present where it looks like you were doing nothing, it’s really hard to get an interview.

Yup, Pranas wrote a play his Jr year of High School. The title is “Parents, don’t let your Sons grow up to be Fanboys”; or something like that. It really is funny. I remember, the man sitting next to me at the Kennedy Center kept laughing.

Every time I look at this strip, when I get to the third panel, I look at it too quickly and immediately think, “The building behind Pranas is on fire! No, wait, that’s a tree with spanish moss.” And the stunned look on your face kind of looks worried as if the building were on fire.

Just goes to prove that you shouldn’t skim over comics too quickly.
