inkdick: may 02 2009 needs vs. wants
Oh how I want the WiiFit. But alas, it is a ninety dollar plus tax want, not a need. My needs, you know, little stupid things like food, things to cook said food, rent, utilities, etc. Man I want some money to spend on some wants.
Can you tell that I’m pressing my face and hands up against the glass in the last panel? After I inked it I worried if that was clear or not.

I picked up WiiFit when it first came out, played with it for about a week, and never really touched it again. I guess what I’m trying to say is you’re not really missing out.

if you eventually move to portland, you can say goodbye to “plus tax.”

Or you could do what I did: get a job at Target unloading trucks at four in the morning and use your employee discount on Wii accessories. 10% off? Yes, please!

Same thing as geekbot. Once you buy a WiiFit, you have the intention of using it quite often. “Exercise + video games? I’ll be in shape before I know it!”
Then one week you realize that Smash Bros doesn’t get you sweaty or require you to exert anything. The Wii Board starts to collect dust after that.

Skip the WiiFit and go out and enjoy living in Savannah. I miss living in a city where I could walk/bike to 98% of the things I ever needed. Nothing like the passive exercise you get walking to the store (plus I found I spent less $ buying “crap” as I didn’t want to have to lug it home).

ps: Thank you for supporting the MN economy with your patronage of Target.
