I saw the movie in the theater twice, I own the DVD, and I think I still have the soundtrack… and I have a boxcutter that defends my taste in movies!

I agree - that film was far better than it had any right to be.

Feel free to turn in your Man card any time.

That said, I secretly (well, not so secretly anymore!) enjoy the movie Mean Girls.

Funnily enough, I know a lot of guys that enjoy that movie. The music doesn’t totally suck (for the most part), the jokes about the music business are pretty spot-on, it’s smarter than usual for that kind of fare and… well, Rachel Leigh Cook in cat ears even gets to an ardent furry hater like me.

    these are the reasons
    Josie and the Pussycats
    was a great movie

    first: Alan Cumming
    being snarky and witty
    and such a jackass

    Next: Parker Posey
    who was utterly charming
    as lisping Lisa

    the awesome soundtrack
with songs by my greatest Crush
    Anna Waronker

    It’s perfect satire
    with brilliant jokes and gags
    that weren’t moronic

    and must I mention
    the wonderful actresses
    playing the band?

    and the band DuJour
    played by most of LoveBurger
    from “Can’t Hardly Wait”
