inkdick: may 27 2009 loving peanuts
It’s not like you would go into a Burger King asking if the person working behind the counter loves burgers or walk into a WalMart asking if the person at the cash register loves guns and laundry detergent. People don’t take crappy retail or food service jobs because they love the things the store sells. They take these jobs because no one else will hire them and it’s something that (kind of) pays the bills.
Side note: That last panel is the best panel that I have ever drawn and will ever draw. It’s all downhill from here.

That last panel is priceless. But what cracks me up even more is the customer in the first panel. You nailed that tourist/customer look just perfectly. (We get heaps of those in the camping store.)
And is it me, or are you kind of mirroring his posture in that last panel?

And, yeah, last panel is best panel I’ve seen. You’ve been upping the anty (spellcheck?) on your comic lately, with using more blacks and getting looser with conveying emotions.

I actually like the first panel best. Why is the muppet-like man swinging his noodly arms toward his face as he speaks? It remains a mystery.
