I wonder if a hamster figures, “Hey, this ball has a wall type thing. That other wall will move when I push on it, too.” Then they get minor amnesia when they whack into it and get thrown back into the ball and forget that the wall won’t move the next time they try.
I would make a good hamster. My learning curve is about the same.
I looked after my friend’s hamster for a fortnight once. we used to let her out in the kitchen w/o the ball with all the doors closed, & with ALL that space to run around in, her fave place was behind all the food trays! oh & she could ‘monkeybar’ across the top of her cage too. I need to get one :3
