The History Channel sucks now with shows like MonsterQuest and UFO Files. And yes, while I do enjoy those shows, they are NOT history. So it’s a rare treat for me when History Channel actually plays something about HISTORY.

the history channel is packed with non history shows, the learning channel shows crap like john and kate plus eight, and cartoon network is showing blocks of live action programming… the word is falling apart as we speak.

Even rarer is for the history channel to show history that doesn’t involve Hitler, so you really really lucked out!

The History Channel has been going the way of Discovery Channel for a while. Remember when DSC used to show nature shows? Eh? Eh? Anyone?

Seeing as the stories in Monsterquest and UFOfiled all happened in the past they are technically history.

Agree. I thoroughly enjoyed the 4th of July shows on the History Channel, too.
