i love that you take the “rule” about not doing comics about making comics, and throw it in everyone’s face. as long as it’s entertaining and/or important, there are no rules!

@aaron Ah, the unspoken “rule”. I mean, I understand other journal comic artists’ “rule” about not doing comics about doing comics, but I could never get behind it myself. I mean, as a cartoonist, a large chunk of your life is going to be spent drawing comics and behind the drafting table, so there are some days when that is going to come up in the journal comic, since it is a huge part of your life. That is just how I view it.
And amen to there be no rules, especially in comics!

agreed! i can see how it would be bad if it became a crutch, but so could doing your comic about anything else. this comic is great because it shows why making comics is important, and even someone who doesn’t make comics would be drawn in by it.
