I lost faith in humanity a while ago, degenerating deep into jaded (if mild) misanthropy. I’m fifteen. I think the morals and accepted behaviors of our society are eroding faster with each generation.
In other news, I love Inkdicks, and I hope that Breat Cancer money can be earned back. (Good luck on the minis!)

It makes me sick that somebody would just go and do something like that. Everyday I’m surprised at just what humanity is capable of, good and bad. Recently it’s been more of the bad. On a positive note, I’m sure that there will be some good coming to even out the bad…

perhaps somebody used it to pay their breast cancer hospital bills…?

As a person undergoing treatment for bc, I am hoping that thedeafguy’s comment is true. Keep your eyes open as something will come your way showing that there is goodness in the world. It is all part of the Ying/Yang.

I’m sorry that happened. Hopefully some good things happen so you can make comics about those instead.
Good job with your comics! I think a little hindsight does give your comics a certain uniqueness.

human nature is naturally weak. don’t let the awful outcomes of a few, ruin your opinion of the world.
September 3rd, 2009 at 3:19 pm
It’s awful when crap like that happens, but keep in mind some truly good things happen as well that don’t get the attention that they deserve. My mom’s just finished going through radiation treatment for breast cancer, and this hits home. I’d be just as pissed as you would be. But keep in mind all of the fundraisers that are going on to support breast cancer treatment as well.

Along the same lines as birdilicious…humanity is fine. It’re the people who make bad choices that mess things up for the rest of us. If you can’t believe in humanity then take heart in karma…paybacks a bitch! :)

next time, put one of those retractable traps inside the jar, that way, if anyone tries to steal the money, they get to lose their hand as well! yay.

Don’t worry, I’m sure whoever it is is either too insane, or too young to understand the weight of what they’ve done, or living under a thin film bowing under the weight of their own self loathing for the actions they’ve done.

The clerks. I never trust the store clerks to stay out of those jars.
Somebody took it from the counter, and didn’t leave the store with. They went to another area and opened it?
I’d double check the guy who “found” it…
September 5th, 2009 at 8:07 pm
Of course they’d swipe it and take it to another area. It would be pretty dumb to try and pry it open at the front counter, no?

@thedeafguy Love the trap idea!
@Frank Zieglar I have to say that your comment REALLY cheeses me off, man. While I may hate my job, I like these people I work with. There are only seven employees so we are tight-nit and know that we wouldn’t do shit like that. Especially Chad, he’d NEVER do something like that (he’s got an insane amount of honor and his wife’s father died of cancer in the past year or two). That and we saw the guy who did it later on camera and it WASN’T a fellow co-worker.

Sorry that it cheeses you Pranas and I’m glad that your co-workers are stand up people, but it doesn’t change the fact that it does happen.
I still don’t trust clerks to stay out of those.
@Isaac No. If you are going to steal it then leave the store. Don’t hang out.
