So first off, I want to say welcome to all the newcomers from Allan. Welcome!

Secondly, I want to say “Damn you, Allan! All your readers broke my website!” I kid, I kid. I love you, Allan! And I love YOU new readers! It was not your fault. It was my webhosts’ fault (webhostingpad.com)

Here is the problem: My webhosting service apparently sucks and cannot handle more than 2,000 visits a day (awesome, right?). So right now only this front page is working. You cannot read the archives, can’t read the cast page, the about page, none of it. Just this front page. So this really screws over you new readers, you can’t read the rest of this comic.

I’m currently in talks with my webhost to fix this problem, so hopefully that will be taken care of soon. Hopefully. Then in the next few days I am going to try and transfer to a different webhost (because webhostingpad.com sucks). I don’t know if there will be downtime for the site, I don’t know if I’ll have to rebuild everything from scratch, don’t know what will happen to my e-mail account. I don’t know, I never switched hosts before. But I need to transfer because any webhost that cannot handle more than 2,000 views in a day is a joke (again, that’s webhostingpad.com). So I don’t know what will happen over the next few days. I hope there’s no downtime, but be ready for it just in case.

I would ask for suggestions on webhosts or how to transfer hosts without losing anything, but the comment function probably won’t work until the rest of the site is fixed (webhostingpad.com). Twitter me with suggestions or advice (I’m @pranas).

EDIT: The site seems to be working fine now. Cross your fingers, who knows how long it will last. I’m still going to do some research and transfer to a new host at some point in the future. I’ve gotten some good suggestions and advice from people in the past few hours. Feel free to post some more in the comments if you want.

Now that my website seems to be working again, I want to formally welcome everyone who ventured over here from Allan. For my regular readers who don’t know, I did a guest comic for the very talented Allan yesterday. Check it out!

To any new readers who may have wandered over here: I’ve been doing inkdick for over a year now, so if you have lots of free time on your hands, there are over 425 days to read through. Feel free to start from the very beginning HERE. Or start from the strip above and travel backwards through time like some sort of sexy time traveler. Your choice! My friend Bullett recently made up a new way to read my comic: Only read the last panel of every strip. This last option works really well if you have a few beers in you.

You may notice it is currently July 11th yet the current strip up as of this writing is from JUNE 12th. Let me explain that one: The past two months or so has been rough what with my mom’s cancer, her surgery, my moving, and my friend and mentor Sweetwater dying. Sometimes life gets in the way of comics, even when said comics are about life. I’ve been trying to catch up, posting anywhere from one to three comics up a day. So check back everyday and there should be a new comic or two or three up. Follow me on twitter if you want to know when I post up a new comic. Someday I’ll get caught back up, I swear. Someone even said they’d pay me ten bucks when I get caught up, so I’ve got that going for me.
