I used to work at a record shop where porn was sold. Eventually, you start to get used to it—you’ll even be able to predict who will buy what!
For example, business men always buy “Club International” because it sounds classier.
There used to be a chain here called Shinders that sold porn in a partitioned area of their comic/game/magazine/porn store. The funny aspect of that was this GIANT fisheye mirror showing everyone in that area and the sqeaky swing door leading to it. Anyway, doesn’t everyone who wants it get their porn off the internet these days?
In order to truly become a man, every college grad has to either fight in a war, be hospitalized for alcohol poisoning, or sell porn to creepy older men. It’s a rite of passage, I tells ya!
lets just hope that the porn itself distastefully had “tranny” in the titles, because you using it in any other context is offensive/disrespectful. which totally sucks, because i totally dig your comic. wouldnt be the first time i stopped reading a comic because the author is being ignorant.
@woah Yeah, with such classy titles like “Tranny Debutantes #2″ and “She-Male Gangbang #7″ I should have used a more p.c. term. I mean, the porn industry that makes the stuff officially refers to it as “tranny porn” so what else am I supposed to call it? And I wasn’t aware that the word “tranny” was so offensive/disrespectful now? I don’t know, I’ve got a few transgender friends and at one of them refers to themselves as a “tranny”.
And for the record, woah, I wasn’t freaked out by this guy because he was getting tranny porn. If he had gotten a giant stack (and it was giant, over seven DVDs) of straight or gay porn and winked at me while saying we were going to make a good team, I’d have the same reaction as in the comic above. I labled it tranny porn because that is what the guy was renting.
So no, it’s not ignorance and I’m sorry you see it that way.
Sorry if this all offends you, but I think most of my readers got it that I wasn’t being mean spirited against transsexuals or transgenders.
Don’t be creeped out by that man. Envy him. For he is so self confident, that he doesn’t give a shit, if you see him with trans gender porn. Either that or he’s bricked in the head.
I also didn’t know that the word Tranny was offensive. Well except to women who aren’t transgender. I’m sure there’s a reason for it, but it just sounds like a shortening of the word Transgender, so I don’t really understand why it’s offensive. Again, probably a good reason for it, that I don’t know about.
thank you so much for clearing that up, the porn industry boggles me, i wonder how long ago that started, and why its still cool with just sticking with the term. its really a matter of context, like, how black people use the “n” word, and how the lgbt community use “queer” now. if you call someone “tranny”, its usually not in good taste, since its an abbreviation for “transvestite”, which is a male who enjoys dressing up as a woman, but doesnt identify as one. i apologize for coming off like an ass. i just flipped because it was exasperating, since it wasnt the first time ive stumbled upon a comic “bashing” transgender and transsexual people. but seriously, super relieved you were NOT bashing. thanks for taking the time to respond, too, really appreciated.

Based on reader feedback, we should be seeing more comics about hotdogs and porn…and probably porn with hotdogs. :)
