Ugh. I’ve had that happen to me before. The soup really makes the meal there. I feel like they should have told you that and then have you chose something else and not just give you the rest of the sandwich… beh.
Broccoli cheddar cheese soup (in a sourdough bread bowl!) is the main reason I go to Panera bread, really. Without that, I’d only go if I had a hankering for a fancy sandwich or some delicious pastries…meaning I’d almost never go.
They’re really pricey. I suppose you have to pay extra to feel Panera good. “Have you ever ordered bread, just for the smell?” No Panera, but me and my highschool friends have come in and eaten all of your free bread samples, you douche! I’m not paying THAT much for a coffee.

PS I almost worked at a Panera until I found out their strict rule of…
