Man, you want to get away from the South? Minnesota. We LOVE curling here, we’re pretty much as close to being Canadian as you can get but still being American. We also apologize a lot i’m told. Sorry.

Curling is Awesome! So when did it become popular? I remember being made fun of in highschool for liking it.

It isn’t that curling is stupid, it is just that it looks like the craziest goddamn thing anyone has ever seen. They’re sweeping and all fast and crazy and this orb is scooting along kind of slow. It’s like a fever dream.

Honestly, I have no idea if I fell out of the “Northerner Loop” or what but I had to have my girlfriend, a Canadian, tell me what curling was just this year. Must have something to do with South Dakota falling off the map habitually or something.

Well, there I was afterwork looking for something on the Olympics on TV and there is was . . . curling. Being raised in Buffalo, NY thereby close to Canada, I had at least heard of the sport. Now, I am watching it and mocking the “atheletes” and it happened; I got hooked! Looked up the rules, etc. and could not wait for the next match. The best is that Wii has a curling apps. Can’t wait to sweep . . . shuffle board on ice; got to love it!

I was told women’s curling is “cool” because every team had at least one member who was really “hawt.” (Image Google womens curling and see).

As dumb as it sounds, it’s tough staying on your feet with that one slippy shoe.
