sigh. the outrages of working in the service industry. I feel your pain.
once when a customer asked me why I was being “short” with her I told her “we closed 5 minutes ago, there’s a line up out the door, I need to close up, my co-worker is incompetent and I’m exhausted.” she replied with: “well that’s what you get for working shitty jobs. You should get a better job, then you wouldn’t have these problems.” this customer is a housewife who probably hasn’t worked in at least 20 years. Argh.
my favourite trick for getting rid of those customers is turning off the radio. turning the light off and standing next to the door then shouting “ladies and gents. we’re closed. go home” works a treat =] ahh the joys of harrasing people when you work in a shop
god I HATE those people!!! especially when your bus leaves approximately 5 minutes after closing time, & you’re not allowed to leave until the customers do, even if you’re not the one closing up!!
Bah! I too know your pain from working in a hardware store. One time this lady called like thirty minutes before we closed and said she could only come five minutes after we closed and it was some emergency. She ended up coming like 20 minutes after we closed and then was like perusing around the store after that! Even with the lights turned off! Ah, it makes me rage right now and that was like four or so years ago. And that set me on the long path to really hating the majority of customers. Kind of like the crazy mean prison guard or something. *me shakes me fist at customers* Hey, have you ever read anything by Max Estes? I just read his ‘05 book Hello, Again. You guys have a very similar style I think. Anyhow, keep up the good work!
Watch as he reads this comic and one of two things happens. Either he complains to your manager, or he never comes in again.
Oh, the people I’ve met working at a pizza place. Most of the time you deal with them over the phone, so you can tell them just about anything to get them to stop bothering you. “No, that coupon isn’t in our system. I’m not able to put it through” usually shuts people up really quickly.
Start locking up, make him leave, or call non-emergency police number and tell them that a person will not leave your location after being told multiple times. Work at a bar so we get people whom ‘have no lives’ that just want to hang out after closing and this needs to be don constantly.
Does he spend good money there or just pops in time to time?
I work at a restaurant and it’s even worse since they have to be served a full meal, and it involves several people (the server, manager, the kitchen staff) staying a lot later than usual. Sometimes I can get away with saying that the kitchen has closed up the grill (we’re not really supposed to say that) and that usually turns people away. :P

How could you not know what happens in Teen Titans #57?!!?! That’s the one where they learn that they’re actually trapped inside a snowglobe.

maybe making you angry is the only emotional response he’s ever gotten from anyone so he doesn’t know it’s bad. :D

Ah, the obnoxious customer in its natural habitat. Lets shoot ‘n’ tag it! Make a documentary out of it! :D
Also, something weird is going on w/ the opening page. Lots of links. I’ve not pressed any, and I’m not going to. Just letting you know.

This is where being physically intimidating helps! Pump that iron and you can go home on time!

there is no way a person like that could sense your distress because there is no way a person like that could have a job.

I love how the customer looks like the Comic Book Guy from “The Simpsons.” Worse. Customer. Ever.
