I used to play soccer so I guess if anyone’s wondering, this is how offsides works, in a nutshell: if you are on the opposing team’s side of the field, and you are closer to the goal than their closest defender, you are offsides. If someone passes the ball to you, that is an illegal play and the opposing team gets the ball.
