soooooo over the past day or two, the site has been acting funky, ie random down time. there is something going on with my host, but it should either now be resolved or be very close to being resolved. If it happens in the future, I am sorry. Sadly I can’t control EVERY part of the internet. Yet.
So…holy shit! In the past 24 hours I have found out that my insurance company will be giving me back a lot of my money. Not all, but a lot. A lot more than I was expecting. And in the past two and a half days you guys have donated around $530! Holy shit! With all that put together, I have enough to replace my stolen computer! Thank you guys so much!

Again: THANK YOU!!! You all rock so incredibly hard.
Sorry today’s strip was on the late side. Some bad shit happened to me yesterday, that you will read about on the strip that goes up tomorrow.
Yeah.
Ok, so I finally figured out how to change the name that shows up when I post a comment (until today it was “admin” which makes me seem like a robot) and how to get a fancy looking avatar next to my comments. Those were the two reasons I never responded to people’s awesome comments in the past, but no more excuses! I’ve already posted replies to comments on some past comments and will now do so in the future. Technology!
And I want to say a huge THANK YOU to you all for reading inkdick. According to my webtracker I’ve been getting between 150 to 400 views a DAY recently. I say 150 to 400, because my Project Wonderful tracker says it’s on average around 150 or so and the web tracker provided by my webhost service is saying over 400. Either way, that’s way more than I expected when I started out, so thank you! It gives me a drive to keep on going with what I do.
Enjoy the comic? Then tell your friends and get them hooked on the dick! Yes, I JUST said that. But seriously, tell everyone you know. The more people I get as readers, the closer I get to making a living at this and being able to spend more time to make even BETTER comics! And to those of you who have already been spreading the word, thank you so much!
And once again, thank you all for reading.
Ok, after a much needed weekend off, I’m back. Once again, two strips posted up everyday until I get caught up. I’m getting there, I am!
Oh, and who out there has Olympic Fever? I know I do!
I am taking the weekend off, I gotta get caught back up with comics, I am sorry. Updates will start up again on Monday with 2 comics up a day.
Sorry. I love you all.
Late with today’s post, but I made it, dammit! Sorry about that. I thought I had more comics scanned in and in the system, but I ran out earlier than expected. So I had to scan in comics QUICK! As of now I got enough comics in the system to last until Friday, so I need to get my ass in gear on getting MORE comics in the system. At this rate, I’m going to be all caught up sometime in early September.
I thank all you guys for reading this everyday, you people rule. Be sure to tell all your friends!
Ok, so I’ve hooked up Amy’s printer/scanner which she is storing here over the summer. The scanner sort of sucks though (sorry, Amy, I still love you). Every time I scan something in, it comes out super fuzzy, so I have to up the threshold to outrageous levels, and that creates another set of problems. But whatever, it’s a scanner, and with enough tweaking it works for what I need it for.
I am going to get a new scanner for myself though. I’m looking at getting a Mustek ScanExpress A3 USB 1200 Pro. If I HAD the money I’d get one of the nicer models, but those range around two-grand, and I’d get a new computer before I’d get a scanner that costs that much. Out of all large format scanners, this one is the cheapest at under 200 bucks. Has anyone used this scanner before? Is it good for what it is? Should I just save my money? Does is work with Macs??? I need to know!
Oh, AND THE BIG NEWS! Ever since I have access to a scanner now, I’m going to be posting two to three inkdicks up EVERYDAY until I am all caught up, so check back everyday please and click the back buttons to make sure you catch every comic that goes up.
So it’s been awhile. Still have a lot of comics to catch up on, but I have a lot of comics ready to scan an upload. About 16 or so.
Problem: My scanner just broke.
I got three inkdicks scanned in (will upload them over the next three days). Each one took five scans to get right though, as my scanner is really old and shitty and doesn ‘t work all that well. Sometimes I need to give it a whack to get it to scan right. Well, this time I hit it too hard. Glass everywhere. Completely unusable now.
So I have no scanner.
I have two options. Everytime I want to scan something I have to bike up to the SCAD library, or find money to get a new scanner.
Anyone of any good deals on a good large format flatbed scanner that works for Macs?
I don’t know when I’ll be able to post any comics up in the future. This sucks, and I’m sorry.
ugh.
Well, finally got internet set up in my new place and finally pulled out my old scanner from the closet, dusted it off, and away we go.
I admit, I’m not totally caught up on these comics, I still have maybe two weeks left to do. What with finals and moving into a new place, going back to Woodbridge for a week, and then coming back here to Savannah to work on the house some, these comics took a back seat. I am going to try and post these up over the next two weeks in batches of two to five comics at a time. Keep checking back whenever.
If you are in Savannah for the fourth, come by my place for a BBQ. It’ll be awesome, I swear.
